Sophie Mair

As part of their Level 2 art, Class 11 students are asked to create a book of ideas, designs and sketches, working towards a final piece. This year students chose between two themes, portraits and interiors, and produced some exceptional work. But even in the midst of such a wonderful collection, Sophie Mair’s work stands out. Choosing to look at interiors, she produced studies of several existing works, experimenting with different materials and researching the artists and their work, before developing her own idea into a fully realised work of art. We are very pleased to be able to spotlight her work and share with you her entire workbook, including that final piece.
